ABOUT MCCRAE
McCrae is a one-eyed muralist, entrepreneur, and musician from Chicago, now living in St. Louis since 2019. He is deeply involved in the local scene, curating public events, concerts, and sharing stories through art. McCrae has organized multiple art shows and painted various venues, including entire pools and backyards, contributing a 50-foot ocean mural for Paint Louis in 2023.

With about 10 years of experience in murals and a variety of styles, he strives to make every piece unique to its environment. Since 2015, he has painted across Chicago and continues to engage the community through his events. McCrae plans to organize a block party for the completed mural featuring local musicians, DJs, and performers.

He owns a production company called Garden Heart Productions, which creates music videos, live events, and marketing for brands and businesses. McCrae aims to produce city content using cinema cameras and drones to showcase St. Louis and his creative process.

ABOUT THIS MURAL

“Flight” is a call to join the stars and to inspire the next generation of musicians to leave a mark with their voice. Adjacent to the legendary Phat Buddha Recording Studios, Buddha sits tranquil amongst a fleet of cardinals overtaking the city during an epic sunrise. The cardinals fly upwards toward the constellation-riddled sky, filled with St Louis Legends, whose impact and voices resonate far beyond their years. Below, a neon spread of a growing St Louis showcases skyscrapers continuing to develop toward the north side, as St. Louis grows into an even more vibrant and connected community.
