Evolution Festival 2024
Call for Art

The Evolution Festival and StLouisArts.org are excited to announce a Call for Artists to create limited-edition merchandise for the Evolution Festival September 28-29.

The artwork will be used to show the vibrancy of the St. Louis arts and culture sector and the amazing artists who call the region home. The merchandise will be offered to VIP ticket holders for the event, which could include but not limited to: koozie, postcard, poster, and t-shirt.

PROJECT GUIDELINES

• Artwork Delivered Digitally
  • Required Size: 2.75” x 3.25” (Suitable standard size for a can Koozie)
  • Optional Sizes: 11” x 17”, 4” x 6”, 8.5” x 11” (must be scalable to the required can Koozie size of 2.75” x 3.25”)
  • File requirements for submission upload: .jpg, .png, or .pdf; 4 MB maximum file size; email info@racstl.org with file size questions
    • Important Note: Winner will be asked to supply original, high resolution artwork in .ai, .eps, or .png file type
• Artwork Theme
  • St. Louis-, Music- and/or Forest Park-Inspired Themes
• Evolution Festival and StLouisArts.org logo placement
  • Logo placements to be handled by Evolution Festival and StLouisArts.org
  • Logo placements will not interfere with artist original artwork

IMPORTANT NOTE: Digital artwork that is able to be screenprinted is required. Flexibility with color palettes may be required due to printing guidelines.

APPLICATIONS, STIPEND AND TIMELINE

Evolution Festival and StLouisArts.org will begin accepting applications on April 10, 2024. Applications will close May 12, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Submissions will be reviewed by Evolution Festival and StLouisArts.org, and five (5) semi-finalists will be chosen by May 17.

The five (5) semi-finalists’ designs will be shared on StLouisArts.org’s Instagram page and will be voted on via SurveyMonkey. Voting will take place May 20 – 24. The semi-finalist with the most votes will be chosen for the project.

The finalist selected will receive a stipend of $1000, two (2) free general admission weekend passes to the Evolution Festival and a featured story on StLouisArts.org. Evolution will have usage of the artwork for three (3) years as part of giveaways and promotional items. If Evolution decides to use the artwork for items for sale, the artist will be contacted to negotiate a contract.

The four (4) semi-finalists will be awarded two (2) free general admission weekend passes to the Evolution Festival.

ELIGIBILITY

This unique opportunity is open to any artist residing in St. Louis City or St. Louis County. Proof of residence is required. Artists must be 18+.
