This August 26 and 27, the Evolution Festival is planting its roots smack dab in the middle of St. Louis. Historic Forest Park, one of the largest, most scenic urban parks in the United States and an STL treasure, is a fitting backdrop for such an epic festival. In its inaugural year, headliners The Black Keys, Brandi Carlile, Ice Cube, The Black Crowes, Brittany Howard, and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals will grace the stage.
Representing the Lou’s longstanding heritage in American music, St. Louis-based bands The Knuckles, Smidley, Yard Eagle, and Punk Lady Apple round out the lineup. As Evolution’s organizers say, “Part of what makes us so proud of our hometown are local artists. This is our time, this is our town, this is our Evolution!” Other amazing acts include Cautious Clay, Modern English, Nikki Lane, Sugar Hill Gang, Morgan Wade, Michigander, the Nude Party, and Carriers.
Some of the most memorable festival experiences are created by infusing bold beverage innovations with live music. The Evolution Festival is embracing this “spirit” with a spotlight on bourbon, which has exploded in popularity over the last several years, by welcoming some of the most iconic bourbon brands, distillers and connoisseurs to showcase over two days. Don’t miss this bourbon lineup.
For a summer festival in the Show-Me State, nothing could be more appropriate in the culinary world to showcase than barbecue! The Evolution Festival will also feature an elevated barbecue experience, curated by Sugar Fire Smokehouse, that will showcase traditional favorites alongside the newest cutting-edge trends by some of the most recognizable smokehouses and pit masters in the industry. Feast your eyes on these tasty BBQ partners.
As a proud brand partner of the festival, St. Louis Arts will be there rocking out with the rest of the crowd and giving away swag. Stop by and hang with us! Also, five St. Louis-based artists will also be there each day showcasing their creativity. They’ll have local art available for purchase to help mark this memorable festival. The full list of artists is coming soon.
