St. Louis is an arts town, and it’s being recognized nationally for it. The Eighth Annual Arts Vibrancy Index by SMU DataArts just released its list of top arts-vibrant communities for 2023, and St. Louis made the list!
The Arts Vibrancy Index rankings were based on the level of supply, demand, and government support for the arts in more than 900 communities across the country. St. Louis is returning to the Arts Vibrancy Index for the first time since 2016.
“Of course, we don’t think we should have ever left the list in the first place,” joked Jay Scherder with StLouisArts.org. “St. Louis is an incredible place to explore the arts. If you can’t find your vibe here, we don’t think you can find it anywhere.”
