I am a self-taught artist that believes that art is a staple in our communities, and we demonstrate it everyday in the way we live our lives. I turned to art simply as a means of channeling my creativity and expressing my experiences. What started as a personal outlet, I soon found ways to bring it into my everyday surroundings–from the schools to church–in hopes to bring unity and excitement to others. Painting serves, for me, as an expression of my belief that art can help to close divides and spark a sense of purpose in others.
